In the process, Collins made history as the fourth African American woman to serve in Congress, as well as being a devout Christian, mother, and public servant who advocated for families, the poor, and the marginalized.

Through their writing, both plan to tell more stories that inspire others through narratives that show people of modest beginnings whose lives provide examples of courage, determination, and faith.
