First ground-up CITY HOME showroom marks a major milestone in the retailer's growth across Tampa Bay

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CITY HOME celebrated the Grand Opening of its new Wesley Chapel showroom, welcoming thousands of guests over four days of giveaways, entertainment and immersive in-store experiences. The opening marks a major milestone in the retailer's growth following its June transition from CITY Furniture to CITY HOME, bringing its Tampa/Sarasota footprint to four showrooms.

The 120,000+-square-foot Wesley Chapel location is the first showroom built from the ground up specifically as CITY HOME and the company's second fully converted CITY HOME showroom, offering customers the clearest expression yet of the brand's expanded "first stop for all things home" vision.

The four-day celebration featured more than $90,000 in giveaways, including a Tesla Model 3 giveaway, with the winner to be announced in the coming months. Thousands of guests visited throughout the weekend, with full parking lots and strong customer turnout as shoppers experienced the new CITY HOME concept firsthand.

Wesley Chapel builds on CITY HOME's continued investment in the Tampa market and follows the opening of its Sarasota showroom in 2025. After 55 years in business, the family-owned retailer continues to evolve its store network, services and customer experience while expanding across Florida.

The opening is part of CITY HOME's broader growth strategy, with additional showroom openings and CITY HOME conversions planned across Florida through 2028.
